Bu resmin hikayesini herkes bilsin.1917 yılında Ruslardan ele geçirilmiş çift motorlu Caudron G4.Hava Kuvvetlerinde iki motorlu hiç bir uçak olmadığı gibi bu uçağı uçurmasını bilende yok. Fakat Pilot Assubay Vecihi Bey uçağı kendi kendine uçurmayı öğrenir.1918’e kadar kullanılır. Resmi yayınlayan Ole Nikolajsen’in dediğine göre “Uçağın bakımı da sorun olmadı çünkü Vecihi Bey aynı zamanda makinist idi. O gerçek bir kahramandı fakat hiçbir zaman hak ettiği değeri görmedi. “Ne ülkesinde nede dünyada.

INTERESTING and TRUE
The first multi-engined (twin-engined) aircraft of the Turkish Army was a Caudron G4 captured in July 1917 from the Russian Army after it had force landed. Nobody in Turkey had ever flown a twin-engined aircraft before, but the gifted pilot Sgt.Vecihi (later Hurkus) promtly taught himself and deployed the aircraft succesfully against its former owners until April 1918. Maintenance was not a problem as Vehici also was a gifted mechanic. He is one of Aviation's real heroes (unfortunately not always appreciated by his peers).
